Welcome to our home on the web! We're Nathan and Wendie, from lovely Henderson, NV (just outside of Vegas). Now that we've moved far away from many family and friends, this provides us a great way to keep in touch. Plus it's a great way to chronicle our first years together. Someday we want to remember the "simpler" days :)
Say what you will about your own kids, but I've got the market cornered on the cutest niece and nephew. Seriously - Gerber babies! Here are a few shots I got a couple of weekends ago when we were all together. Do you not just want to eat them up?!
Um yeah, cute, cute, cute kids. And your pictures are amazing. You must give me the rundown. What kind of camera do you have? How much photo editing do you do? I think I'm ready to jump deeper into photography and am trying to learn all I can before I take the plunge.
These were taken with a Canon 20D and 2 studio lights (yes, lights make ALL the difference). But I've done a bunch of natural light photos too that turn out just great if you know what you're doing. Read Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. It's so helpful, but you should probably have whatever camera you're going to use nearby when you do. I referred back and forth a ton. Then, it's just practice, practice and more practice. I really think that learning photography is almost all hands on learning and trial and error.
Ok, I'm glad I came back to check this post for a response. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my point and shoot died right before Disneyland so I had to replace it, even though I am dying for a DSLR. I'm going to check out that book.

Cute kids - I don't know how you got them to pose so well!

I love these pictures...next time you are in town, I would be happy to let you try out your great photo skills on my kids.
